P.A.W. Prints of Illinois
Infant-Toddler Accessories and Books
P.A.W. Prints of Illinois began with six words: "Hey Mom, look what I made!" These words were spoken by my very insightful 10-year-old, who gets the challenging job of keeping his younger brother occupied when we're all in the family van. Like most toddlers, this one loves to throw anything he can get his hands on! His older brother is often forced to play fetch to keep the peace. One day, fed up with this game, he tied his younger brother's tube ball to an unused tether on the car seat. When baby brother tried to throw the ball again, big brother was able to easily retrieve it!
This homemade solution sent me to many stores in search of a more permanent solution. However, after finding nothing that met my needs, I started thinking about what I could do, sketching ideas, and working with molding materials to form my idea into a workable solution. I decided my invention had to be multi-functional, transportable, safe, and adorable – just for starters – and the first Tether System (patent pending) emerged in the form of a ladybug, Miss Gigi-Mae™. Not only does it solve the problem of my toddler throwing or dropping his toys, books and cups while in his car seat, stroller or high chair, but it's a source of entertainment in and of itself. Babies, it turns out, really love ladybugs!
Creating Miss Gigi-Mae™ – and discovering just how popular she is – led to the development of other great product ideas for keeping baby entertained and engaged when families are on-the-go, cooking dinner, traveling, shopping…or otherwise occupied. P.A.W. Prints of Illinois was officially born!
As a mother-owned and child-inspired business, our mission is to keep happiness within reach.
