JPMA MEMBERS BENEFIT FROM NEW INITIATIVES Scholarship and Mentoring Programs Now Available As part of membership to the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA), member companies have access to a host of valuable programs and services. Recently, JPMA launched a pilot Mentoring Program and reinstated the highly regarded Scholarship Program, two valuable benefits open to all JPMA members. JPMA's pilot Mentoring Program is designed to help new manufacturers flourish as they navigate the uncharted waters of the juvenile products industry. Many JPMA members become part of the juvenile products industry by chance, learning the ropes as they go along. Now, JPMA is reaching out to help make the learning process easier for these new manufacturers. The goal of this initiative is to ensure that new manufacturers have the resources they need to thrive in the industry. Mentors in the program are current members of JPMA willing to share their insight and industry expertise with new member companies. Mentors communicate with new manufacturers and answer questions throughout the initial six-month period. Also for 2006, JPMA has reinstated the popular Scholarship Program. This program financially assists children of employees of JPMA member companies in their pursuit of higher learning while encouraging and rewarding excellence. This year, JPMA will grant five awards of $2,000 each. The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association, Inc. is an international trade organization of 400 member companies in the United States, Canada and Mexico. These companies manufacture and/or import infant products such as cribs, car seats, strollers, bedding, and a wide range of accessories and decorative items.
